Our kittens and Pricing

We made our home, nestled amongst the hills in Bacup, a small town in the valley of Rossendale in Lancashire. Less than an hour from the City of Manchester and just on the edge of the West Yorkshire border, we're easily accessible from many areas. 

At Magic Moon Cats we raise our kittens as part of our family, indoors in the centre of our home. From 4 weeks old our kittens come downstairs from our bedroom and are introduced to everyday household noises such as the vacuum cleaner, our dogs bustling about and barking at the door as well as the sound of our family and friends comings and goings. At this point they are gently and gradually introduced to our other cats in our home. We absolutely pride ourselves in rearing well socialised and confident little beings. Our home is filled with toys, scratching posts and cat trees galore! Kittens raised outdoors will not see and hear the necessary things to help them seamlessly transition, stress free, into their new family homes.

Our kittens are weaned onto high quality raw food and as they develop we get them used to gently cooked meats too as well as free feeding dry kibble so that they always have access to food. All of our cats have a high quality diet to develop strong immune systems and keep them in tip top condition!

We like to be totally transparent with our pricing. We do not ask for more based on colour, gender or show quality. All of our kittens are special and as valuable as each other. We strive to find them the most fitting homes for their personalities.

Our current price of £950 for a kitten is inclusive of sterilisation, a full course of vaccinations and microchipping. Our kittens come with their GCCF registration card, a 4 generation Pedigree Certificate and a signed Kitten Agreement between us, as well as a generous welcome pack containing food, toys and comforts to help them settle into their new home. They receive worming treatments routinely, are free of parasites and are health checked by a Veterinarian at least twice before they leave us.

We always put our cats needs above anything else and as a result we sometimes have older kittens or adult cats that are looking for a new home so it is always worth enquiring with us.

If you'd like to take one of our kittens or cats home, please complete the application form below. We love as much detail as possible so we can get to know you and the home you're offering. We ask for these details to make sure we're placing the most suitable kitten or cat with you. After you've submitted your enquiry, we will contact you very soon to tell you about any kittens we currently have or any litters that are due soon. We prefer and encourage where possible for you to visit us at home so you can meet your kitten or cat in person.

Once you have decided on your kitten, you may reserve them with a refundable deposit of £150 up until their first health check and vaccination. We will keep in touch with you and send photos and video updates until your collection date. You are also more than welcome to come and visit them too. 

Ahead of your collection date you will receive a copy of our Kitten Agreement Contract which will need to be signed by the day you collect your kitten.  When our kittens leave us, we love for their new human's to keep in touch and share photos and stories of how they're getting along.

Your new companion will come with a host of goodies to help settle them into their new home and make it as easy as possible for you to bond with them. From food to toys and a blanket that smells familiar, you'll both have everything you need for a smooth transition. 

We will only ever let our kittens go to their new homes once they are over 13 weeks old. In most cases they will be neutered or spayed already and be a little older than this to allow for this to happen safely. 

All of our kittens come with their GCCF registration card, 4 generation Pedigree certificate, Vaccination card, microchipping record and a copy of our Kitten Agreement contract.

We follow the code of ethics set out by the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF), The British Ragdoll Cat Club (TBRCC) and the Progressive Ragdoll Cat Club (PRBCC). We have attended learning seminars with both Ragdoll cat clubs and continue to expand our knowledge annually through keeping up to date with the latest cat genetic news and also showing our cats with GCCF.
We have over 20 years experience in owning cats, from rescuing to breeding our own Pedigree Ragdolls.

For the entire lifetime of your kitten, we will always be here to offer advice and support. We raise these babies as part of our family and will always love them. Please don't hesitate contacting us for anything you may need.
